Our Services Sven Johnson Illustration is an Architectural Rendering Studio in business in New York City since 1992. With a broad background in art, architecture and digital practice we focus on delivering the highest quality in traditional hand rendering and digital imaging. This versatility allows the Studio to handle a wide variety of architectural, interior design, advertising and marketing projects, which are frequently published in The New York Times, Architectural Record, and other major newspapers, magazines, corporate annual reports and brochures. Images created by Sven Johnson Illustration have literally raised millions of dollars for various clients and been used for gaining approvals for building well over $100 million dollars of New York City real estate.

The visual style of our work is immediately recognizable in high quality watercolor, black and white, and colored pencil traditional media. Yet all renderings are based on accurate digital models, which are perfect for creating walkthrough animations and panoramas/click-thru models for unlimited web-based marketing use. As a compliment to these services we also offer fine-arts quality large format printing for rapid turnaround presentation boards.

About Us Principal Sven Johnson holds an Architectural Design Degree from Miami University of Oxford, Ohio and studied for one year at the University of Copenhagen-affiliated DIS Architectural Program. He has studied Painting and Illustration at the School of Visual Arts in NYC, the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, and the University of Akron. He sits on the Advisory Board of the New York Society of Renderers after serving eight years as Officer. He was awarded the prestigious Award of Excellence for the selection of his work in the 1998 traveling American Society of Architectural Perspectivists show.

Accounts manager Nishi Bissoondial is a graduate of New York University and has held administrative positions at the Courant Institute, Law School Library, and Department of Housing at NYU as well as the Crowne Plaza United Nations. She maintains all accounts for Sven Johnson Illustration.
